Chapter L, Mobile hosts a Monthly Auction that they open for bidding at the close of their meetings. Their auctioneer promises to oversee the fierce bidding and assure that the top bidder is satisfied. In anticipation of the event, they ask each donor to contact the Chapter Ways & Means Auction Chair about their auction item. They publish each item’s photo and description in their newsletter a week before the meeting in hopes that it will create interest in the items, encourage competition on the “bidding floor”, and spark a lot of fun!
Chapter L also has a BRAGS & BLESSINGS time to share their joys and blessing at each of their gatherings. It is their custom to use this time of love to celebrate together. They honor the blessing with a donation to P.E.O. philanthropies.
Denise Williams, Ch U, is setting up a Driveway Bake Sale. Members are dropping goodies off on Dec 9th. She is emailing out a list with prices and pictures that night. Then on Dec. 10th, they are stopping in front of her driveway telling her what they want to buy and the items are delivered to the car. PEO service with a smile!
Chapter Y is having a Christmas gift exchange over Zoom. Each member that is participating is assigned a participating sister and delivers a gift to her before our December meeting. One sister is in charge of assigning names. No peeking before the meeting!! At the meeting we will open and share what we got with everyone over zoom. Not quite as good as "Dirty Santa" but still should be fun.
